Run-off alarms are installed in pairs on the front and drive side. The run off alarm warns the operator if a felt or wire runoff is imminent. Inductive switches are used on the wet end, while on the dry end, mechanical switches are used. The switches are heat-resistant to 150°C, The electrical signals can be used by the machine control system as an alarm for the operator or to shut off the drives.
